E i a i e                                                                            E i a i e
Ngá iwi e                                                                        To all the tribes
Ngá iwi e                                                                        To all the nations
Kia kotahi ra                                                                    Let us all unite
Te Moana Nui a Kiwa                                                      We the peoples of the Pacific

Soldiers Life

Soldiers Life

Bare trees in the grey misty sky,
Soldiers’ boots squelching in the sinking mud
Creaking noises created by the bridge.
Growling noises like machine guns, come from the soldiers’ tummies.
Poppies as red as blood,
cover the fields,
Soldiers died,
Mothers’ hearts,
Never healed.

Echidna

    Protection

The Echidna lives in Papua New Guinea and Australia. They have powerful front feet so they can dig fast. They have mottled colouring camouflage. They have good hearing because they can hear from a mile away. They roll into a ball and hide their face and claws to protect themselves.
